Description | Patna Highway Projects Ltd was created to implement the expansion to four lanes of Hajipur to Muzaffarpur section for the existing National Highway NH-77 (from km 0.000 in Ramashish Chowk to km 46.300) and the construction of a 16.87km new bypass connecting NH-77 with NH-28 of east-west corridor at km 515.045 in the State of Bihar. The total road lenght was 83.17 km. The National Highway Authority of India awarded the project Gammon Infrastructure Projects under on BOT (Annuity) Basis, India. The project was part of NHAI's NHDP Phase III. Project had concession period of 15 years including the construction period of 2.5 years. The project cost was estimated to be Rs 9.4 billion (US$205.6 million). Financial close took place on 18 Aug 2010. Financing comprised Rs8.4bn 13-year 5-month term loan and Rs940m equity. The debt was arranged by YES Bank. The construction is expected to be complete by 17 Feb 2013. |
