"This project involves the construction of the small hydroelectric power plant - PCH Verde 2, located on Verdão River, Rio Verde, state of Goias. Featuring two powerhouses and four Francis turbines, the plant will have an installed capacity of 21.59 megawatts. The reservoir, designed to cover approximately 680 hectares and extend 16 kilometers, is crucial to the operation's success. The sponsor for this initiative is the Brazilian conglomerate Brasal Energia. The total project cost is $80m (R$420m) of which the sponsor has issued $33m (R$170m) in debentures, while the rest $47m (R$250m) will be financed with equity. The financial close date is April 22nd, 2024.
