Description
Description | The project is located on Peachtree Road between Pierce Drive and Broad Street. The project will provide two travel lanes 11 feet wide and a 6-foot wide sidewalk on the east side, with 2-foot brick strip, where possible. Project includes an overlay and restriping of travel lanes. Where the proposed sidewalk interferes with existing storm structures, a new structure and a short length of pipe will be required. In order to avoid encroachments into the Norfolk Southern R/W, a short gravity wall with handrail is proposed in limited areas. At the project beginning, in areas where the sidewalk is less than 25’ from the railroad track, a chain link fence is proposed. The left turn lane onto American Industrial Way will be consolidated into a shared left & through lane. The project length is approximately 2100 feet. |
