"The animation industry is a buoyant sector that has exploded in last years due to the multiplicity of platforms and operators offering this kind of content, specially on demand for kids and youth. However this expanse of broadcast windows is accompanied by an increase in the number - and quality - of competitors, as animation is a really international business where we target worldwide audiences. Therefore, the development stage of any animation project become crucial in order to ensure its correct financing and the correct commercialization. At Peekaboo Animation we deal with content for kids since the very beginning. We try to target different audiences (from educational upper preschool to fresh, edgy comedies and adventure series for kids) as well as different range of clients including public and commercial broadcasters, as well as VOD platforms. We deliver projects for the international market by actively promoting coproduction with the most appropriate foreign partner for each given project, as this is the best way to maximize dissemination and financial capabilities. Up to date, at Peekaboo we are developing a bunch of five different animation projects, some of them original ideas, some of them book-based IPs, in different maturity stages. The current proposal of slate development includes three of them: - ""My Little Heroes"" (MLH), based on a collection of books by EMSE/Shackleton Kids. A series for a bridge audience depicting famous characters from History in their child version. - ""Home Villa Tours"" (HVT), an original idea by Irene Chica. A comedy/sitcom for kids about a group of pets organizing a touristic resort for wild animals. - ""Best Friends Forever Stranded!"" (BFFS), an original idea by Jose Balbuena, Alyssa Surmillon and Vi Pham, created by Jose Balbuena. An edgy comedy and mystery series, an arch-story with continuity intended for VOD platforms."
