Description | Objectives - To prevent and combat Roma school drop-out, as a symptom of social exclusion, through a Peer to Peer approach, relating Roma students, educational and local communities. - To provide the educational community with an inclusive schooling paradigm, based on an existing best practice, through the transfer of competences, skills, tools and methodologies. Activities - Development of a Peer to Peer methodology, based on a living Roma schooling paradigm. - Creation of an allies network: capacity building of young Roma students and school teachers. - Peer to peer transfer of an inclusive schooling culture paradigm and assessment. - Disseminating the message of an inclusive schooling culture, among all involved stakeholders. Type and number of persons benefiting from the project 1000 young Roma (as Mentors and Mentees), 15 coaches, 500 teachers of primary and secondary education, 150 municipal and public authority staff, 1000 members of the general public, including members of Roma communities. Expected results - Young Roma students of primary and secondary schools inspired by an inclusive schooling culture to continue their studies. - Empowered young Roma students and graduates, rewarded for their choice to complete their education by being awarded the role of the Mentor for younger Roma generation. - Acquired skills and competences on Roma student-inclusive practices by teaches and educators. Type and number of deliverables to be produced 1 desk and qualitative analysis report, 1 action plan / methodology, 16 cognitive oriented sessions for young Roma Mentors, 24 skill building sessions for young Roma Mentors, 12 training sessions for Tutors, 6 child protection policies workshops, 1 Integrated toolkit, 1 report on capacity building actions, 300 Mentoring Sessions, 10 Role-modelling sessions, 10 Mentees’ visits to the foster mentor schools, 1 Publication, 8 Tutors’ Workshops, 15 workshops with parents, Final Impact assessment report, 2 video spots, 1 comic. |
