The project suffered large-scale damage during floods on August 2, 2025, due to poor planning and lack of proper drainage system. The plant's operational and maintenance responsibilities were awarded to Frozel for eight years, but the firm abandoned operations in June 2025, and the plant is now run by Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited staff. The generation capacity has been reduced from 32 MW to 16 MW due to non-functional inverters. |
