Description | 88 Energy has secured an unconditional 20% stake in the PEL 93 oil and gas exploration licence in Namibia's Owambo Basin, part of the emerging Damara Fold Belt play. The project covers 18,500 square kilometres and includes extensive seismic and geophysical surveys to identify drill targets. The deal reduces future funding commitments by US$15 million and allows 88 Energy to be fully carried into the acreage with flexibility to increase its interest later. The project is positioned near ReconAfrica's Kavango West-1X well, which is progressing towards production testing and could positively impact PEL 93. |
