Description
Description | RWE plans to build the UK's largest battery energy storage facility at Pembroke Power Station. The £200 million project will support the decarbonisation goals of the nearby Pembroke Net Zero Centre and contribute to stabilising the UK energy market by storing surplus energy and feeding it into the national grid when required. The facility will have a capacity of 350MW with a two-hour battery system delivering 700MWh of electricity, enough to power almost 300,000 homes for two hours. It will comprise 212 lithium-ion battery containers on a 5.1-hectare site south of the Pembroke Power Station. |
