Description | The project involves the design, finance, operations and transfers of the Penang Cable Car in Penang Hill, Malaysia. The 2.9 km cable car line will consist of 43 wagons and will be able to carry 1,000 passengers per hour. The lower station of the cable car will be located near the Botanical Garden. With between 1.3 million and 1.8 million visitors a year, the hill will help balance the tourist load. There will be 15 towers in total on the line, and the travel time from the lower to the upper station will take 10 minutes. The project will improve the tourism experience and contribute to the socio-economic situation in the area and create about 500 jobs. |
