Information Water Resources-MP has come up with Pench Diversion Project with a ticket size of 1564.79 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. The Pench Diversion Project [Major] envisages construction of a composite dam in Distt. Chhindwara across river Pench, a tributary of river Kanhan, which in turn, is a tributary of river Wainganga in Godavari Basin. The project envisages construction of the following main works- ?. 42 m high and 5970 m long earthen and 360 long concrete dam comprising 140 m long ogee type spillway. ?. The spillway with crest level of 609.75 m would pass PMF of a tune of 12411 cumecs through 08 Nos. of radial crest gates of size 14.00 m x 16.00 m each. ?. A 30.20 km long Right bank main canal & 20.07 km long Left bank main canal. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 335.208 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 25.99 crore CA released since 2016 till October 2021- 15.48 crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021- Rs Nil Physical progress- 99.04 percentage Financial Progress- 93.71 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 28270 Ha Irrigation Potential created till October 2021- 25270 Ha Projected Date of Completion- March 2022
