Penn 15 Supertall

Penn 15 is a proposed 50-story supertall commercial skyscraper at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the 1,000-foot-tall structure is planned to yield 2.2 million square feet of office space as the centerpiece of the 7.4-million-square-foot Penn District master plan. The project site was formerly occupied by the Hotel Pennsylvania, which was demolished starting in 2022. The project has been on hold for two years with demolition only reaching street level and the project lacking an anchor tenant after Facebook (now Meta) backed out. Vornado is considering including residential space and is pushing for development conditional on securing tenants at rents around $200 per square foot.
