Description | President Trump pushed to have his name added to Penn Station in New York City following a secret meeting with James Dolan, the billionaire owner of the New York Knicks and executive chairman of Madison Square Garden Entertainment. The redevelopment of Penn Station is ongoing, with Amtrak given control of the project after the Metropolitan Transportation Authority withdrew. Trump previously offered to release billions of dollars in infrastructure funding in exchange for renaming Penn Station and Washington Dulles International Airport. Proposals for the station's redevelopment include a Greco-Roman style redesign with a glass roof to let in natural light. A decision on the future of the transport hub is expected in May and to be announced in June 2026. |
