Description | Information Water Resources Department, Govt. of A.P has come up with Penna Delta System UpgradationProject with a ticket size of 569.33 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project It is proposed to modernize the century old Pennar Delta System including Canals & damaged structures to stabilize an ayacut of 2,47,000 Acres under Pennar Delta System of Nellore Dist. Modernization of Penna delta system was taken up under Jalayagnam programme under 5 packages namely Package No. 34,35,39, 40 and 1PD. 4 packages 34, 35, 39 and 40 were already closed. As per G.O No. 365, dated 08.07.2020, Govt. issued orders for Pre-closure of the work Package No.1PD: Modernization of Pennar Delta system. |
