Description | The City of Ottawa plans to build housing on a three-acre property known as the People's Park at 160 Lees Avenue in Old Ottawa East. This site was previously part of the proposed Alta Vista Transportation Corridor, which has now been removed from the Transportation Master Plan. The residential zoned portion of the property is proposed to be declared surplus to allow for housing development, with a minimum of 33% of the site maintained as park space. The development could be mid-rise or high-rise and is prioritized for not-for-profit affordable housing. |
