PepsiCo has implemented water replenishment projects since 2016 focusing on tree planting and wetland restoration to conserve water resources in high-risk areas globally. Key projects include planting over 160,000 trees in the Dominican Republic's Ozama River Basin, replenishing 110 million litres of water in 2024, and a project near Mount Pangrango and Gunung Halimun Salak National Parks in Indonesia replenishing 21.6 million litres while protecting freshwater sources for over 30 million people. In 2025, new projects in Florida involve converting nearly 700 acres of sugarcane farms to drip irrigation systems and wetland restoration in the Florida Everglades to restore natural water flow and increase water retention capacity.
