Description

The European Network on Victims' Rights (ENVR) is a formation founded in 2016 for active cooperation between policy makers and practitioners working under the control of national public organizations responsible for victims' rights. In the operation year of 2022, the Association of the European Network on Victims' Rights (AENVR) will focus on to continuously operate ENVR as an umbrella organization including the ENVR as core generalist network, the EU Network of single contact points for compensation (Compensation Network) as a specific network and the Network of single contact points for victims of terrorism (SCPOVT) as a specific network - to maintain a hub of experts operating in different areas of victims' rights, with the overall objective to improve victims' access to their rights on a non-discriminatory basis. ENVR aims are to sustain and more develop the effective cooperation and coordination between Member State professionals in the field of victims' rights with a special focus on cross-border cases. AENVR will provide exclusive forums to discuss challenges and solutions between governmental professionals, and fostering of cooperation could result in the better understanding of methods for implementation of the relevant EU law and the improvement of practical application of the transposed law. The development of a sustainable knowledge base concerning EU legal sources in the area of victim rights is priority as well. In 2022, ENVR will focus on the support to certain groups of vulnerable victims as victims of domestic violence, victims of terrorism and victims with disabilities; on victims of major crisis; on victims and restorative justice; the solutions of the digitalization of justice; the improvement of cross-border case management; and the practical application of the European Protection Order. ENVR is committed to reach out to victims. ENVR cooperates with other international stakeholders and is active member of the Victims' Rights Platform.
