Description
Description | The Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) has unveiled the world's first perovskite-based building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roof tile. The tile features flexible perovskite solar modules encapsulated using TNO's experimental roll-to-roll manufacturing platform, achieving up to 13.8% efficiency on standalone modules and 12.4% efficiency when installed on a curved roof tile surface. The project is supported by the Province of North Brabant, the European Union's Horizon Europe programme, and the National Growth Fund programme SolarNL. The solar tile will be commercialized by TNO's spinoff Perovion Technologies. |
