The Project consists of the construction of a new water treatment system using nano filtration as well as the expansion of an existing pumpstation for said treatment system. The project will also involve the construction of a new “clean in place” treatment system for the filtration systems backwash as well as various connections to existing municipal water services. The Project’s location is on the site of the current municipal water intake and the structures already in existence will be expanded to deal with the increased capacity of the centre. Upon project completion the area will be fully rehabilitated and a new parking lot constructed. The Project aims to end current boil water advisories for some residents of the municipality as well as improving overall water quality. This Project will benefit the community by increasing access to potable water.
