Description | Petrobras is considering investing 490 million reais (approximately US$88 million) in a green hydrogen project involving the construction of a pilot plant at the Paulínia refinery (Replan) in São Paulo. The plant will feature two electrolyzer technologies: alkaline and PEM (proton exchange membrane). The project aims to study and characterize the integration of hydrogen production via electrolysis into oil refining processes, including testing the pilot unit and studying the certification of the hydrogen produced and its impact on petroleum derivatives. |
