Description | The PGI campus in Chandigarh is facing a critical parking shortage with a current capacity of 4,000 vehicles against a daily influx of 22,000. To address this, a new 4,000-car parking facility is proposed near the resident doctors' swimming pool, close to the upcoming Advanced Neuroscience Centre and Advanced Mother and Child Centre. Additionally, a seven-storey multi-level parking facility with a capacity of 680 cars is under construction. Existing parking areas including 27 staff and faculty lots and six public lots are overwhelmed, and the current multi-level parking for OPD visitors with 600 spaces is insufficient. |
