Description
Description | Nouveau Monde Graphite's Phase-2 Matawinie Mine is a major project of national interest in Canada, expected to become the largest graphite mine in the G7 once operational. The project has secured a fully committed $335 million senior project-debt commitment from Export Development Canada and the Canada Infrastructure Bank to support construction, development, and commissioning. The project is shovel-ready with approximately 80% detailed engineering completed, site preparatory work executed, key permits secured, and formal agreements in place with local communities. Key construction packages have been awarded, representing over 50% of Phase-2 CAPEX, enabling rapid mobilization post-final investment decision (FID). Additionally, a brownfield industrial site in Bécancour has been acquired to support downstream processing and accelerate time-to-market. |
