Description | The Phase-2 Matawinie Mine is a major graphite mining project in Québec, Canada, aimed at developing a fully integrated ore-to-processed-graphite value chain to serve industries in energy, advanced technology, and manufacturing. The project has secured senior project debt financing of US$335 million from Export Development Canada and the Canada Infrastructure Bank, supporting construction, development, and commissioning. The mine is shovel-ready with detailed engineering (~80%), site preparatory work, key permits, and agreements with First Nation and local community. It is considered a project of national interest by the Government of Canada and is supported by long-term offtake agreements with the Government of Canada, Panasonic Energy, and Traxys. |
