Description | Phase two of the 48-inch water line project is scheduled to begin this week in Myrtle Beach. Crews are scheduled to start work on Monday from 33rd Ave. North to the tunnel at Marina Park near the Claire Chapin Epps Family YMCA. Construction is expected along the east side of Wild Iris Drive, Marina Parkway, and Highway 17 (the Bypass) as upgrades are made to the city’s main transmission line. This $16.2 million infrastructure project supports water service in the north end of Myrtle Beach and throughout the City of North Myrtle Beach, helping ensure reliable delivery and enhanced fire protection for years to come. Phase two is expected to be completed in late fall, with phases three and four to follow. No service disruptions are planned during construction. |
