Description
Description | The Urban Development and Urban Mobility Sector Reform Program in the context of Habitat III supports the Colombian government in its reform efforts in the areas of urban development and urban mobility. The FC funding loan of EUR 80 million is already the third and final phase of the sector reform program. The reform efforts include, for example, the promotion of low-emission mobility (energy-efficient technologies including electromobility, non-motorized mobility), the promotion of resilient cities / cities adapted to the circumstances of climate change and sustainable housing (energy-efficient housing, social housing). The project thus contributes to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs), in particular to Goals 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities and 13 Climate Action. It also supports the Republic of Colombia in achieving its own goal under the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement (NDCs) of reducing the country's CO2 emissions by 20% by 2030, or 30% with the help of the international development community. As part of the NDCs, Colombia has set itself the goal of deploying 981 electric or hybrid buses in Colombian cities by 2050. |
