Description | Phelan Green, through its subsidiary Phelan eFuels, is planning to build an electro-sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) production facility in Saldanha Bay, South Africa. The facility will use Honeywell UOP's Fischer Tropsch Unicracking process technology to convert Fischer Tropsch liquids and waxes derived from CO2 into eSAF that meets aviation fuel standards. The project is part of the broader Phelan Green Hydrogen Project, a R47 billion private investment recognized as a nationally strategic green industrial initiative by the South African government. Once operational, it is expected to produce more than 140,000 tonnes of eSAF per year targeting export markets in the EU and UK. |
