Description | Philo is a new circular building dedicated to student innovation on the campus of the Institut Le Rosey, an international boarding school in Rolle, Switzerland. The building features flexible classrooms and laboratories, a Fabrication Lab, a Start-up or Incubator Space, and a Presentation Hall for events. It has dynamic circulation with horizontal and vertical walkways intersecting in a central atrium, spiral staircase, and double-helix slides. The building uses steel, concrete, wood, and glass, and incorporates sustainability features such as heat pumps using water from Lake Geneva and photovoltaic panels on the green roof. |
