The project will double the facility size from 82 to 171 acres and more than triple the volume of on-dock rail cargo capacity from 1.5 million TEUs to 4.7 million TEUs. It includes a depot for fueling and servicing up to 30 locomotives simultaneously and a staging area for assembling and breaking down trains up to 10,000 feet long, aiming to improve the velocity of rail containers and increase total port capacity. |
