Description | USA Rare Earth was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to receive up to $19.3 million in funding for a pilot-scale rare earth element separations project. The project focuses on building pre-commercial rare earth element separations capacity inside the United States, targeting processing rare earth elements sourced from domestic resources. The funding is part of DOE’s Critical Materials Innovation, Efficiency and Alternatives program and aims to support the separations stage of rare earth processing, a critical step where individual rare earth elements are isolated after extraction.
