The Project entails the provision of a senior secured loan on a project finance basis to finance the construction of an integrated green hydrogen production facility consisting of a 20 MW electrolyser fed by greenfield 52 MW wind power plant to produce c. 3,000 tons of renewable hydrogen annually. The hydrogen electrolyser will be located in Chirchiq city, Tashkent region, and the wind power plant will be in Bash town, Bukhara region. The wind facility will be an expansion of existing EBRD-financed Uzbekistan: Bash WPP. The sponsors of the Project will be ACWA Power Company, an international developer of power generation and desalinated water projects, and Joint Stock Company UzKimyoSanoat, a chemical manufacturer based in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
