Description | The Brazilian company Nascentes do Xingu, a subsidiary of AEGEA Saneamento e Participacoes S.A. (AEGEA/Grupo Equipav), was awarded the 30-year concession contract to expand, rehabilitate and operate the water and sewerage facilities of Pimenta Bueno, located at the state of Rondonia, Brazil. The contract was awarded by the municipality, and the investments were expected to benefit around 34.000 people. Information on the bidding criteria and the name of the other bidders was not available. The contract was signed in March 2016 and the private sponsor took over the operations of the water and sewerage services in July 2016. The special purpose company , named Aguas de Pimenta Bueno was created to lead the project. The investment in the project was estimated at US$ 14.3 million (BRL 50 million). |
