Description | Pine Island State Park on Lake Murray has expanded its summer hours starting April 2, 2026, to accommodate increased visitor traffic during peak season. The park, formerly a private getaway, was converted into a state park after being offered to the state by Dominion Energy. The park is undergoing renovations including the old clubhouse being converted into an events center and marina replacement to offer boat slips for rent. Parking capacity is being increased from 55 to 80 spaces. |
