Description | This project involves the replacement of the structure carrying Pine Road (Route 3006) over Irishtown Gap Hollow Run in Penn Township, Cumberland County. The existing 1936 concrete slab bridge will be replaced with a precast concrete box culvert and steel rail bridge barrier. Additional work includes rock scour protection, pavement reconstruction, and installation of MASH-compliant guide rail. The bridge will maintain the existing width with two 11-foot lanes and 2-foot shoulders. Construction is planned to start in Spring 2028 and end in Fall 2028. |
