Description

US solar developer and asset owner Standard Solar and its partners have inaugurated the 7.5-MW Pino community solar farm in Las Vegas, New Mexico, marking progress on a wider 48.4-MW community solar portfolio in the state. The portfolio was developed by New Mexico-based Pluma Construction with support from ForeFront Power. Standard Solar acquired the projects earlier this year for long-term ownership and operations. Solstice Power Technologies LLC is responsible for subscriber acquisition. Seven of the portfolio's eight projects have been completed, with the final 5.2-MW Otero facility expected to be finalized by the end of 2026. The portfolio includes projects in Clovis, Reynolds, Las Cruces, Lordsburg, and Silver City, all designed for single-axis tracker systems. Once fully operational, the portfolio is expected to generate about 103,287 MWh of electricity in its first year.
