The 1273km road is located in State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Eixo SP Concessionária de Rodovias is a concession company jointly owned by Brazil’s Patria Investments and Singapore’s GIC. Patria’s investment fund IV Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia (Pátria – FIP IV) indirectly holds a 70% stake in the concessionaire. The Brazilian firm also manages the investment fund controlled by GIC that holds the remaining 30% stake, NY Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia (FIP-NY). The concessionaire will invest R12 billion throughout the 30-year concession period, including about R1.5 billion in the first 2 years. BNDES provided a R3 billion ($548 million) loan to the concessionaire Eixo SP Concessionária de Rodovias. This will fund investments forecasted for the first 7 years of concession. Financial Closure was achieved in June 2021. Spanning 1,273km and crossing 62 municipalities in the São Paulo state, it connects with the border with the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
