The area around Tournai and Douai faces similar social problems. On the other hand, the construction sector is in need of skilled workers. Therefore, the partners study the possibilities of work/study contracts to enable young people to obtain a qualification and degree in sectors facing skill shortages. They develop a personalised social and professional integration itinerary with individual guidance for the target groups: personality development, preparation for employment, information to the target group on professions where a shortage of labour exists, focus on professional and social mobility. The major assets of the project are: increasing border mobility of young people in difficulties, a permanent search for innovative teaching methods, involving cities, technical services, professional training institutions, etc. in the fight against exclusion.
