Piston Peak Cars Land Expansion at Magic Kingdom

Planned

The Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island at Disney World's Magic Kingdom are being repurposed to add a new Cars-themed land called Piston Peak National Park. This expansion of Frontierland will feature a Route 66 companion inspired by the Rocky Mountain area and American Frontier national parks, including natural elements like towering trees, snowcapped mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and geysers. The area will include a visitor's lodge, Ranger HQ, walking trails, and new ride vehicles with unique personalities for the Cars attraction. Work is set to begin in 2025, with the closure of Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and Liberty Square Riverboat on July 7, 2025.
