Pittsburgh International Airport New Terminal

completed

Pittsburgh International Airport is opening a new $1.7 billion terminal designed for origin-and-destination travelers, replacing the older terminal that served as a hub for connecting travelers. The project includes a consolidated security checkpoint with 12 TSA lanes, faster baggage handling, improved international arrivals, new parking options with 6,000 spaces, outdoor terraces, a Welcome Point for visitors, and a Skybridge connecting landside and airside terminals. The project took over 10 years of planning and 4 years of construction, generating an estimated $2.5 billion economic impact and creating over 14,000 jobs without using local taxpayer money.
