Place Centennial - Construction of a Multifunctional Cultural Center

The project aims to provide the community with a multi-functional center under the one-stop-shop concept, combining all cultural services in one place, which will serve as a major cultural hub and gathering place. This new construction, offering universal accessibility, will be almost three times larger than the current facilities and will offer state-of-the-art equipment. A creation laboratory with an innovative concept and adapted to the reality of the environment will be set up. Spaces adapted to accommodate the various clienteles will be set up. The planned works are as follows: - Excavation; - Possible archaeological interventions (inventory and supervision of work); - Construction of a building including 1,424 square meters for the library; - Construction of foundations, framework and exterior envelope; and - Mechanical systems (plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)) The project will contribute to improved access to and/or better quality of cultural infrastructure for the population of the City of Beaconsfield.
