Description

Description

"Founded in 2011, Condor is a film distributor with a slate ranging from major festival arthouse films to elevated genre films. Its catalogue features some renowned directors such as Kelly Reichardt, Casey Affleck, Agnieszka Holland, Benh Zeitlin, Paul Schrader, Denis Villeneuve, Debra Granik, Michel Franco or Ira Sachs. Through massive and original campaigns, Condor often succeeds in boosting the boxoffice potential of films considered as small (SHORT TERM 12, LITTLE MEN, ENEMY, THOSE WHO WORK, LIGHT OF MY LIFE, GARETH JONES etc.). In the context of the Media ""European Film Distribution"" call 2022, we are presenting our reinvestment plan for European films. Based on the performance of our European films between 2018 and 2021, we would like to reinvest the generated grant in co-production, minimum guarantee and release costs (P&A) of our upcoming European releases. Our ambition through this reinvestment plan is to participate in the development and the promotion of the European cinema in France, with two objectives: the support of our European directors and the development of rising talents in France (first or second feature film). Over the course of the project, we aim at supporting between 5 to 10 films - each one expected to gross between 50,000 and 300,000 admissions."
