PlanetGoals aims to upskill competences of football-related entities’ professionals in Greece, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Croatia and Italy, in integrating both environmental and social sustainable practices and policies into their entities’ operations and governance, in order to promote the transition to climate neutrality and also to make them more inclusive and to encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles and participation in physical activity for all. Project activities include a Handbook, a Capacity building course, an e- Learning Hub and Self-Assessment Tool, and an Awareness Raising Campaign. Project outputs include: 21 best practices for the Planet Goals Handbook, 10 training sessions with 100 participants, assessment of sustainability levels of 50 football-related entities’ operations and governance, 15 community engagement events and 15 Social and climate-friendly activities with 450 participants, 6 videos focusing on football entities’ sustainability aspects, and an online campaign. In total, approximately 60.000 persons will be benefiting from the project. It is expected that equipping target groups with learning tools enabling distance learning, will develop their competences regarding the adoption of climate neutral ways of their entities’ operations and governance, and the promotion of inclusion, equality and healthy lifestyles. Capitalization and multiplication is expected to be achieved, through knowledge and expertise exchange between partners and stakeholders. At local, regional level, national and EU levels, it is expected to contribute to an increase of training opportunities regarding sustainability. Community mobilization, including vulnerable social groups members, in activities promoting climate action, fostering social inclusion and raising awareness on the benefits of physical exercise will contribute to the EU priorities regarding a climate neutral, more inclusive, healthy and just society and to a more sustainable future for a
