Description

Description

The project increases the competence to refine and use the digestate resulting from biogas production. By adjusting the nutrient content of the digestion residue to think of use as fertiliser, its value can be increased. The aim of the project is to provide the region with knowledge and competence to refine and use the digestion residues that arise in connection with biogas production. The value of digestion as a bionutrient increases when the nutrient content is balanced and adapted for the intended use as a fertiliser. The project will result in tools that control and optimise the nutrient balance between phosphorus and nitrogen in the digestate during and after biogas production. This will provide two new products for biogas producers: a digestion residue with a nutrient content adapted for agricultural or forestry purposes and recycled phosphorus which can be sold directly as fertilisers or as raw material for the fertiliser industry.
