Plastic Biontes Intervention on Hejduk Towers

Plastic Biontes is an artistic and ecological intervention by the Basurama collective on the Hejduk Towers in Santiago de Compostela. The project transforms the towers' skin using plastic materials to provoke reflection on waste as a future legacy, blending art, ecology, and living architecture. It uses plastic materials temporarily removed from recycling processes to create textures and forms that mimic living bodies and natural elements like lichens, inviting a reconsideration of plastic beyond waste.
