Description | The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) partnered with Jollibee Foods Corporation to launch a Plastic Waste Recovery and Rewards Program. The program incentivizes households and barangays to collect and segregate plastic waste by offering gift certificates in exchange for collected plastic. The initiative aims to strengthen community engagement in waste collection and disposal, promote responsible solid waste management, and support government-led waste management initiatives. The project initially covers 20 barangays in Vitas, Tondo, Manila for six months and will extend to 36 barangays near Tripa de Gallina in Pasay and Makati City. |
