The use of plastic waste in road construction is aimed at strengthening the bituminous layer, reducing bitumen consumption, and eliminating plastic waste. Additionally, alternatives to plastic packaging for gutkha, tobacco, and pan masala are being explored, and civic bodies are encouraged to install PET bottle collection points and plastic compactors to curb littering. |
