This project proposes improvements to the drainage systems at various locations to maintain their reliability and integrity and help assure the continued safety of the traveling public. 1. Clean 50 stormwater quality units in various towns in Nassau & Suffolk County. 2. NY878 (Nassau Expressway) from NY878/Rockaway Turnpike to Bay Boulevard, Town of Hempstead, Nassau. Parking Lot floods near intersection. Redirect surface flow to nearby leaching basins 3. Meadowbrook Parkway from East Meadow Brook to creek north of Babylon Turnpike, Town of Hempstead, Nassau. Clean culverts. 4. Wantagh State Parkway at the Pedestrian Bridge near Beltagh Avenue, Town of Hempstead, Nassau. Clean drainage structures, pipes & install additional drainage structures. 5. Southern Pkwy from Queens/Nassau line to Nassau/Suffolk line, Towns of Hempstead & Oyster Bay, Nassau. Clean, repair or replace drainage structures, pipes & culverts. 6. NY101 (Port Washington Boulevard) from NY25A (Northern Boulevard) to Park Avenue, Town of North Hempstead, Nassau. Install drainage structures with curb boxes at low point. 7. Southern Parkway from the Nassau/Suffolk line to Robert Moses Causeway, Towns of Babylon & Islip, Suffolk. Clean, repair or replace drainage structures, clean culverts. 8. NY454 (Veterans Memorial Highway) at the following locations, Towns of Smithtown & Islip, Suffolk. a. Eastbound from Smithtown Avenue to Artic Avenue. Repair drainage structures. b. Suffolk Avenue/Old Nichols Rd to Connetquot Avenue. Clean, repair as needed all basins & connection pipes. c. Sycamore Avenue to Blydenburgh Road. Clean all basins & connection pipes. d. NY25 (Jericho Turnpike) to NY111 (Wheeler Rd). Clean, repair, replace drainage structures & remove roadside build-up.
