Description | The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has extended the financial closure and commissioning deadlines for projects under the PM-KUSUM scheme. This extension aims to provide relief to the solar industry facing delays in loan disbursements and expedite funding and approvals under the upcoming Kusum 2.0 framework. The revised deadlines apply to projects with Power Purchase Agreements or notices to proceed issued on or before December 31, 2025. For Component A and C projects (Feeder-level solarisation), the financial closure deadline is extended to September 30, with final commissioning required by March 31, 2027. For Component B and C projects (Individual pump solarisation), project commissioning is targeted for September 30. |
