The original PM-KUSUM scheme launched in 2019 aimed to install 34,800 MW of solar power by March 2026 but had only installed about 12,164 MW by February 2026. The updated scheme, PM-KUSUM 2.0, faces policy disagreements over the required hours of battery storage and execution challenges. |
