Description | Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has completed constructing 12km of roads using a public-private partnership (PPP) model with a compensation mechanism based on 'credit notes'. A total of 19 projects worth around Rs982 crore have been proposed under this model, including concrete roads, dividers, footpaths, stormwater drainage lines, and streetlight poles in various areas of Pune. PMC approved the PPP policy for roads and bridges development in January 2021 and is awaiting detailed project reports for new roads to decide on implementation strategies. |
