Podvelezje wind farm

The FC measure envisages the construction of a wind farm at the Podvele site near the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). It is planned to build up to 16 wind turbines with an output of 2 - 2.5 MW each and connect them to the Bosnian interconnected grid. The total installed capacity of the wind farm will be 32 - 40 MW, and the annual electricity generation will be around 86 GWh. The aim of the FC measure is to expand and diversify the country's electricity supply sources and to feed more climate-friendly electricity into the Bosnian interconnected grid. This should contribute to sustainable economic growth in BiH and to global climate protection. The target group of the FC measure is the entire population of BiH connected to the electricity grid. The borrower is the Republic of BiH. The project sponsor is the public company Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine based in Sarajevo (EP BiH).
