Description	Eco Biomass Energy Sdn. Bhd., a private entity from Malaysia, was planning the development of the 20MW POIC Biomass Cogeneration Plant, Lahad Datu, Sabah. The project was to utilize biomass waste from palm oil mills: Mesocarp Fibres, Palm Kernel Shells, and Empty Fruit Bunches. The project was to consist of a 20MW steam turbine generator, and one 210 degree Celcius heat only biomass boiler (HOB). The output was to be supplied to the grid via the nearby Warisan 33kV main substation. Commissioning was expected for October 2012. The first contract was signed in July 2010. Total cost was unknown. The financial closure date was unknown but estimated here at July 2010 (signing of first contract).
